Start your journey with a beautiful flight from Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport to Paro where you’ll be treated to aerial views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your guide. Then, it’s a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. You’ll visit some places in Thimphu and stroll around Thimphu’s lively streets. Overnight in Thimphu.

Today you have sightseeing and hiking in Thimphu. You’ll visit some of the major highlights of Thimphu such as Trashichodzong, the National Library, Arts & Crafts School, Zilukha Nunnery, Takin Sanctuary, and Sangaygang View Point(Telecom Tower). Overnight in Thimphu.

On this day, you will have a scenic drive to Punakha, which is about 72 km away from Thimphu. In Punakha Valley, you will visit the Punakha Dzong, a brilliant masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture located at the meeting point of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers. Then, we walk across the Suspension Bridge and visit the Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Fertility Temple. Overnight stay in Punakha.

Today, we drive back to Paro through lush valleys and traditional villages. En route, stop at Simtokha Dzong, Bhutan’s oldest Buddhist monastery. This monastery contains prayer wheels, slate carvings, lhakhang, murals, cosmic mandalas, and paintings. Upon arrival in Paro, we visit the Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum which showcases Bhutanese art and history. Later in the evening, you can walk around the lovely town of Paro. Overnight stay in Paro.

Day five is a highlight of the tour as we hike the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery(Paro Taktsang) located on a cliffside. This hike is quite tough but worth every step. You’ll get breathtaking views along the way. Overnight stay in Paro.

Today marks the end of your tour. Bid farewell to Bhutan as you drive to Paro International Airport for your journey ahead.

A hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery is of moderate difficulty. The monastery is located at an altitude of 3,120 meters above sea level. The climb can be quite steep with some stone staircases, which may leave you feeling a bit breathless or tired, especially if you're not used to the elevation. But the experience and the views are definitely worth it! There are designated rest stops and viewpoints along the trail. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and layered clothing. You’ll be all good with it.
