There are no direct international flights to Tibet, except from Nepal. You will have to stop in Kathmandu for three official working days ( Monday to Friday) to get a Tibet Group visa. When all the Visa process is done then You can fly to Tibet on next day. Or you may stop at Chinese cities: - Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhaou, and Xian for a nights to get a Original Tibet Travel Permit.  Please note that you have to pick up the original Tibet Travel permit before you boarding to Lhasa. It will easy to send a Tibet Travel permit to Your Hotel in Mainland China as all the permit are issues by Tibet Tourism Bureau in Lhasa.  We send it by courier at your Hotel address when it has got ready.

Flight for Kathmandu ( KTM)  to Lhasa (LXA) to Kathmandu sector

Himalayan Airlines is operating flights between Kathmandu to Lhasa and Lhasa to Kathamndu on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 17th April 2024. There are three flights a week. We suggest you not to book flight ticket before you get Tibet Travel permit. You need to purchase a tour package through a  Local Travel agency to get a Tibet Travel Permit.  It will comes all in package including airport transfer, your accommodation, Tibetan guide, Tibetan Visa, Tibet Travel Permit and sightseeing tour in  Tibet.  You can also buy a flight tickets to Mainland China after your Tibet tour. Or you can travel by Train to Mainland China or to Kathamndu Nepal by road.
